Can a product belong to multiple categories or sub-categories?
This Article is for stores running on Solo plan or higher
Yes, a product can be assigned to multiple categories or subcategories. While adding or editing a product, you’ll have the option to select one or more categories or subcategories to help organize and display it effectively.
Step 1. Log in to your Commmerce’s Admin Panel by entering the Registered mail ID and Password. To log in click here
Step 2. You can either click on Dashboard on the left side of the admin panel and then click on Add Product (as shown in “1”), or you can click on Catalog on the left side of the admin panel and then click on Products (as shown in “2”).
Step 3. On the product page, select the product you want to edit and click on the three dots (as shown in “3”).
Step 4. Once you click on the Edit option, you’ll be taken to the product page. In the Category section, you can assign the product to multiple categories where you want it to appear (as shown in “4”).
Step 5. Once you have updated all the necessary details, click the 'Save' button located in the top right corner.
