Can I write blogs on my Commmerce website? How do I create a new blog on my Commmerce website?

Yes. You can write blogs on your Commmerce website upon subscribing to the Standard Plan. The Standard Plan provides a comprehensive suite of features for content creation, including blogging functionality. This allows you to effectively share your insights, expertise, and updates with your audience through engaging written content.

Follow the below steps to create a new Blog:

Step 1. Log in to your Commmerce’s Admin Panel by entering the Registered mail ID and Password. To log in click here

Step 2. Click on the Website option in the left menu (as shown below)

Step 3. Then click on the Blogs option (as shown below)

After clicking on Blogs, you’ll get the three options (as shown below)

3.1. Author 
3.2. Categories
3.3. Blogs 

3.1. Author

3.1.1. Click on the 'Authors' option in the Blogs section (as shown below)

3.1.2. Then click on the Add Author button (as shown below)

3.1.3. You need to provide the author’s details to complete the Author's profile. The author's details include:
  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number (optional)

  • Description (biography or summary about the author)

  • Place (location or city)

  • Designation (occupation or title)

  • Organization (affiliation or company)

  • Profile image (a professional photo of the author)

  • Social media links- Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, Google Plus (links to the author's social media profiles)


    After filling in the details, you can click on the Save option to save all the details.

3.2. Categories

3.2.1. Once the author’s profile is completed, you can go to the 'Categories' option in the Blogs section.

Incorporating a category section into your blog not only enhances user experience but also contributes to better organization, SEO, and engagement, ultimately supporting your content strategy.

3.2.2. Then click on the Add Category button (as shown below)

3.2.3. Enter the category name. Keep the status 'Active' and click on the Save button (as shown below)

3.3. Blogs

3.3.1. Then you can go to the Blogs option in the Blogs section (as shown below)

 3.3.2. Then click on the Add Blog button (as shown below)

3.3.3. You need to provide the blog’s details to complete the Blogs section and then click on the Save & Continue button (as shown below)

3.3.4. The list of the blogs will be displayed in the backend as shown below. Click on Three vertical dots(︙) below the Action tab (as shown below)

3.3.5. After clicking on the three vertical dots (︙), you will see the following options (as shown below)
  • Edit Blog Content

  • Edit Blog

  • Delete


    You can click on any of the options as per the requirement

    Click on the first option- Edit Blog Content

Clicking on the 'Edit Blog Content' will take you  to the 'Add Blog Contents' page (as shown below)

If you select only text, you’ll get a text editor along with the other options like adding images and videos as shown in the screenshot below (similar to the product description). Provide the necessary details and 'Save' it.

3.3.6.  You can preview the Blogs in the Backend (as shown below)

Step 4.  Now you can view the Blogs list page in the front end/ your Commmerce website (as shown below)
