GoDaddy Login Page (Might change the way it looks as GoDaddy might update it)
Step 2. Go to the Domains section
Option 1:
Click on your Account Name's dropdown (as shown in “1”) to find the 'My Products' link in the dropdown menu
Click on 'My Products' (as shown in “2”) and then scroll down to find 'All Products and Services'
The domain or domains that you have purchased will be listed under the 'Domains' section (as shown in “3”)
Option 2:
You can even click on the nine dots on the left side of My Account (as shown in “4”)
You can see an option 'Domains' below Quick Links (as shown in “5”) and click on it
Step 3.Select the Domain you want to connect
If you choose Option 1, then click on the 'DNS' option beside the domain that needs to be integrated (as shown in “6”)
This will take you to the DNS management page
If you choose Option 2 and click on Domains, you will be taken to the 'Domain Portfolio' page
You can click on the three dots beside the domain that needs to be integrated (as shown in “7”)
In the dropdown, scroll down to find the option 'Edit DNS' (as shown in “8”)
This will take you to the DNS management page
Step 4. Identify A record with @ mentioned
This is your primary record which connects your domain to hosting. We will change this to communicate to Commmerce hosting (as shown in “9”)
Locate the 'Type A' record with @- mostly this will be your first record in DNS with Parking written as a Value or an IP address
Then click on the Edit option on the right-hand side (as shown in “10”)
Step 5. Edit A record and add 3.6.31.177 as a value
Edit A record
Type- A Name - @ Value- 3.6.31.177 TTL- 1 Hour
and click on the Save button
Step 6. Locate CNAME with www
In the Records section, locate CNAME with 'WWW.' This is to make sure your website's “www” link also connects to your store without any issues (as shown in “11”)
Then click on the edit option on the right-hand side (as shown in “12”)
Step 7. Edit CNAME and add value as stores.commmerce.com
Edit CNAME
Type - CNAME Name - www Value - stores.commmerce.com TTL - 1 Hour
and click on the Save button
The process is complete now, and the domain will be integrated into the Commmerce platform in a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum of 48 hours.
