How to Split Payments?

  • This Article is for stores running on Commmerce POS

Follow the steps below to split a sale amount across multiple payment methods:

Step 1.  Ensure that all required products have been added to the sales cart and review the sale details for accuracy. Once confirmed, click Checkout to proceed to the payment screen (as shown in "1").

Step 2. Select Split Payment from the available payment methods to divide the transaction amount across multiple payment methods (as shown in "2").

Step 3. Select the first payment method and enter the amount to be paid using that method. In this example, Cash has been selected as the first payment method, and an amount of ₹1,000 has been entered toward the total transaction amount (as shown in "3").

The system will automatically update and display the remaining balance that is still due (as shown in "4").

Step 4. Select an additional payment method and enter the remaining amount due. In this example, UPI has been selected to pay the outstanding balance (as shown in "4"). If required, you can continue adding multiple payment methods to split the transaction across several payment options until the full amount has been collected.

Step 5. Ask the customer to scan the displayed QR code and complete the payment (as shown in "6"). Once the payment has been successfully received and verified, click Confirm Payment Received to record the payment and complete the transaction (as shown in "7").

Step 6. Once all split payments have been received and verified, click Complete [Amount] to finalize the sale. The transaction will be marked as completed, and the payment details will be recorded in the POS system (as shown in "8").

Step 7. A Payment Successful screen will be displayed, confirming that the transaction has been completed successfully. Review the payment details, transaction summary, and receipt options before closing the screen (as shown in "8")
