Is there a limit to the number of subcategories I can add to the Commmerce website?
This Article is for stores running on Standard plan or higher
Youcan create up to 3 levels of Sub-categories by drag and drop option.
Follow the below steps to create Sub-Categories on your Commmerce website:
Step 1. Log in to your Commmerce’s Admin Panel by entering the Registered mail ID and Password. To log inclick here
Step 2. You can either click on Dashboard on the left side of the admin panel and then click on Add category (as shown in “1”), or you can click on Catalog on the left side of the admin panel and then click on Categories (as shown in “2”).
Step 3. Click the Add category button on the right side (as shown in “3”). A new category will be created.
Step 4. Fill the Category Details
Assign a name to the categories (as shown in “4”) and upload a thumbnail image for each category (as shown in “5”). Then, click the Save button in the top right corner (as shown in “6”).
Once you save all the categories, click on the six vertical dots as shown in the image below, hold, drag it towards the right side, and drop it. This will create a subcategory.
The ‘Sarees’ is a parent category, and there are three subcategories under it (as shown below).
For example-
Sarees is a parent category. The blouse is a subcategory of sarees, the dress is a subcategory of blouse, and lehengas are a subcategory of dress.
On your Commmerce website’s homepage, you will be able to see a maximum of two child categories.
