What is the process for adding an HSN code in the Commmerce backend?

To add an HSN code in the Commmerce backend, follow these steps:

Step 1. Log in to your Commmerce’s Admin Panel by entering the Registered mail ID and Password. To log in, click here
 

Step 2. After logging in, navigate to the Tax section located under the Settings menu on the dashboard (as shown in “1”).
 

Step 3. On the Tax page, you have two options for adding an HSN code:
 
Option 1: Use the Import button (as shown in “2”) to upload HSN codes in bulk.
Option 2: Click on Add New (as shown in “3”) to add HSN codes individually.
 

Step 4. If you choose Option 1, click on the Download Sample button to get the template file for bulk HSN code upload.
 

Step 5. A CSV file named gst-rate-sample will be downloaded to your system. Navigate to your Downloads folder, open the file, and update it with all the necessary information, such as HSN code, description, and tax rates.
 

Step 6. Once the details are updated, navigate to the Import Tax page and click on the Choose File option (as shown in “4”). Select the updated CSV file from your system, then click on the Save button (as shown in “5”) located in the top right corner to upload.
 

Step 7. Once you click on the Save button, a preview of the data will appear. Review the information, and then click on the Import this Sheet button located at the top right corner to complete the import process.
